“Less weight – more self-confidence!”

Mr. Uhlmann, why did you want to lose weight?

“I practice a lot of sport, akido in particular is my great passion. With the increasing weight, the training became more and more laborious, I began to look for excuses to stay away from the training sessions…My joints hurt and I had trouble breathing.”

Since when did you have weight problems?

“Already as a child I had a few kilos too many. On my mother's side, I am of Italian origin, so at home I often had delicious pasta dishes on the table! During my military service I gained a few kilos every time. When I was younger, I was able to lose the additional kilos again with a few simple tricks: lots of sport and nothing sweet. Over the years however these tricks didn't work any more, and with the growing professional stress my nutrition became increasingly one-sided. There were periods when I lived on take-out pizza.”

Why did you opt for the Rohner concept?

“A colleague who works in the same office had lost a lot of weight in a short period of time with the Rhoner Concept. I informed myself about the program via the homepage and registered immediately. I actually don't have a classic diet career behind me, so I couldn't really compare it with other diet methods. However the Rohner Concept seemed quite practicable to me, and what was particular important: I could continue to eat dinner with my family.”

How did you fare with the weight loss process?

“From the very beginning I lost weight easily. Shopping for the right food took a little getting used to: new products and new "paths" through the grocery store aisles (quickly past the bread shelves, lingering in front of the yoghurt section…). During my akido training I noticed very quickly that I was in much better condition. With less weight, my joints are also less susceptible to injuries.”

How do you feel today?

“I feel very good. I have also noticed that with the dwindling kilos, I am gaining in self-confidence. This of course helps me in important meetings and in negotiations.”

How have the people around you reacted?

“My family is very happy for me - even my mother expressed a few words of praise! Naturally, it also makes me happy when people tell me it wasn't all that bad before…Sure, it wasn't that bad, but I feel so much better now. I still want to lose another 12 kilos, even if it doesn't go as quickly as at the beginning. I will definitely reach my goal sooner or later!”
